CMT 'Stimulates' Frederick Irwin Anglican School

CMT today attended Frederick Irwin Anglican School in Mandurah to help Curtin Marketing give an insight into whats is available to students who decide to further their education at Curtin University of Technology.

Nathan Staats (Project Manager) and Errol Hassett (Exposure Manager)took down the teams new driving simulator, also know as our 'Stimulator'.

As some of our readers might know from team newsletters, the 'Stimulator' was created from our 2006 race car, we have made some small modifications to install a computer with steering wheel and sound system.

We generally use the 'Stimulator' as a bit of fun and it is proving to be a great marketing tool and talking point for the team. It promotes discussion on the race cars in general and the changing designs as the competition and our team evolve as the years go by. Most people find it a tight squeeze to get in and out of the 'Stimulator' but it is a realistic representation of the old race car designs because it is one of our old race cars.

We enjoyed the day, we always jump at the opportunity to talk about the team with people because we have such a passion for what we do. Hopefully the students walked away with a better understanding of what is available for them at Curtin University and are inspired to enter into engineering and hopefully even Curtin Motorsport Team.

We look forward to the next chance to share our passion for motorsport and the team.
